Taking care of business, any way
I mentioned in an earlier post that since the economy is slowing down my work, I was going to go after some new ideas. One of those is in the works, and the other is about to take off.
I’ve written three editions of “Take Control of iWeb” for Take Control books, and they’ve all been pretty good sellers. In the process of researching these books, I’ve learned more about the features and foibles of iWeb than I really cared to.
Well, about a month ago one of my Apple Consultant Network cohorts who just happens to have a large studio space available asked if I was interested in teaching a class. The first thing that jumped to mind, mainly because it would require little or no preparation, was to teach an iWeb class. We met last week for coffee and discussion, and now the classes are ready to go.
I’ve got four sessions of both an iWeb basics and an advanced class on the calendar, and now I’m beginning to start the marketing. Fortunately, my buddy who has the space is also going to help out with the marketing, since I’m going to help him pay his studio rent by holding the classes. That’s the way business ought to work, not going out and begging for a SBA loan.
If you’re interested in learning how to use iWeb ’09 to create or maintain a website, take a look at http://im4macs.com/mac-classes/ for more information or to sign up for the classes.
