The Daily Steve Podcast, Episode 7
Sheesh. It’s cold, snowy, and nasty outside, and some commenter has the nerve to tell me to cheer up? The nerve of some people! ;-)
In this episode of The Daily Steve Podcast, I blather on about a variety of fun and bizarre topics, including amateur radio and a good reason to get involved in it, as well as hobbies in general (including wanting to take up shooting a crossbow and flying radio-control electric ducted fan aircraft).
I’ll be podcasting over at MyMac.com with Tim Robertson tomorrow evening, so don’t expect a Daily Steve Podcast here, unless I decide to. Hah!
Episode 7: Hams, hobbies, and neighborhood reconnaissance flights
References: Amateur Radio (http://arrl.net), Yaseu FT-857D transceiver (http://bit.ly/zV166), a really cool crossbow (http://bit.ly/7lVWt), and some of those really cool radio-control ducted fan jets (http://www.nitroplanes.com/jets.html).

Oh, oh ... you're going to make me spend more money!!! I don't suppose my old Wilson HT will work, but I'm already thinking end-of-the-world scenarios for 2012!! ;-)
